Description
When I started my hike at 4am to hike back to the Grand High Tops for sunrise, I was immersed in fog as I approached the base of the Breadknife. Only slightly concerned that I would be completely fogged out, knew there could either be great photo opportunities or my first ever foggy sunrise. A glass half full kind of situation. I waited patiently for the fog to part from the Breadknife and Crater Bluff, however I wasn’t having much luck at that point in time. I turned around and noticed the rolling hills cascading from the sides of Crater Bluff appearing through the thick fog. All I could think of Crater Bluff and the Breadknife as is the bones of the extinct volcano.
Having the elements of the land appearing through moody fog could quite possible be one of my favourite scenes and most favourite to photograph.
